Now, before I reveal which Race/Class I chose to be the main Race/Class in the world, lets review the final list that I made the last essay.
Races & Creatures
1. Giants
2. Dark Elves
Classes & Roles
1. Knights
2. Wizards
3. Rangers
4. Barbarians
There we go. There was the Giants and Dark Elves, Knights and Wizards, and Rangers and Barbarians. I decided on the Giants.
However, I am not going to get rid totally of Barbarians (I might take back Knights and Rangers later). The Barbarians, I think, are probably going to be basically what the people of the world are going to be: all wild Barbarians and Vikings.
This might change of course based on the evaluation of this world.
Now, before I proceed to creating the world, I think I need to layout how Giants behave, change, and work in this world.
I think that the Giants should be all evil, even though some Giants in D&D are good. Actually, all good Giants are going to be Neutral. Whether they are Chaotic Neutral, True Neutral, or Lawful Neutral will depend if they were Chaotic, Neutral, or Lawful before when they were good.
Now lets go over the standard D&D Giants.
1. Hill Giants
2. Fire Giants
3. Stone Giants
4. Frost Giants
5. Cloud Giants
6. Storm Giants
Now lets see which ones are good, and then I will show what alignment they used to be, and what alignment they are now.
Cloud Giants: 50% Neutral Good, 50% Neutral Evil. Since Cloud Giants are half good half evil, instead of making them neutral, I am going to make them evil. So now Cloud Giants are Neutral Evil.
Stone Giants: Yes, yes, Stone Giants are already neutral, but I put them in this list because I think that they should be changed to be evil. There new alignment is Neutral Evil.
Storm Giant: Storm Giants I guess are the only good Giants I now realize. So, they are the only Giant I really need to change to Neutral. Storm Giants used to be Chaotic Good Giants, now they are Chaotic Neutral Giants.
Now that I have decided on alignment. I think I should decide on how behave towards each other.
I think, that, the Giants, although some breeds of Giants are stronger than the others, treat each other as equals. I also think that I will add some more Giants based on the elements.
So I think that I will add Wind Giants, Lightning Giants, Forest Giants, and Bog Giants.
Wind Giants will be Neutral Evil, Lightning Giants will be Lawful Evil, Forest Giants will be True Neutral, and Bog Giants will be Neutral Evil.
I think that also each breed of Giant will have there own territory where they have there own laws and customs. There will probably be many wars between the different territories. And each will have there own amount of “small people” under them. The “small people” would be Humans, Elves, and Dwarves and other Races that you can choose from in D&D.
Goblins, Orcs, and Trolls will also be breaded by the Giants to fight in their wars. Probably, since most of the Races in the world are wild Barbarians, the Giants do not impose any laws on the other “small people” in their territories, unless the “small people” in their territories does something the Giants do not like or they go up against the Giants.
I think that there will be a strong breed of Giants in every type of Giant called the Krantak (plural), Kranta (singular). For example, there could be a Fire Giant Kranta, but there could also be a Bog Giant Kranta. These Giants are like gods and tower above other Giants at 100 feet tall, and can shake the earth when they walk if they want, causing cataclysms. For this reason the Krantak have evolved to be able to levitate five feet above the ground, so that they do not cause huge cataclysms.
This is as far as I can think about Giants so far. I will think about the world so far, and next I will talk about the lesser Races of the world probably. I will also read the Dungeon Masters Guide to get some ideas flowing.
